Harvey Bradley built his York company, Bradley Lifting, from scratch. He started with few resources, except perhaps the most important, an entrepreneurial spirit... .

Loganville’s landmark Brown’s Orchards & Farm Market started as a roadside stand, seen here in 1956, and has since expanded to 29,000 square feet. Background post: 'I didn't know a peach tree from an apple tree ...
Farmers and agribusinessmen are constantly facing change.
When he started as an orchard owner, Stan Brown's knowledge of his business was minimal.
"I didn’t know a peach tree from an apple tree," Brown said, "but we learned quickly."
As sprawl covers former farmland, area residents are increasingly interested in re-capturing the Pennsylvania Dutch country spirit. Brown's Orchards is an example of a business that has sensed this market and looked ahead to offer customers a step back in time.
